Editor and sound designer for spoken word
Starting out with BBC Audiobooks (later AudioGO), and working freelance since 2012, I have over twenty-one years' experience as an audiobook editor. I now put my ear to sound-design — bringing stories to life with illustrative sound-effects and immersive audio.
In 2023, Storytel's dramatisation of 1984 — which I sound-designed — was nominated for an Audie award. Also that year, I was selected to participate on the BBC's Sound First scheme.
